Application and Explanation of Use as a Legal Gateway
Under Section 47, where an LA is informed that a child within the LA is subject to Police protection, or is subject to an emergency protection order, or where a child in the LA is suffering, or likely to suffer, significant harm, the LA must make any necessary enquiries in order to determine the need for action to safeguard and promote the child’s welfare.
Disclosure of information is made under the requirements of Section 27
